"We do not have family in the U.S. and I was very scared of being in labor ALONE. At the same time, I could not convince my husband to be there with me by any means.  I realized that he was scared too. While at least I was reading a book for expecting mothers, he did not know anything about birth. Why should he come? What will he be doing there? Maria's class completely changed the way my husband thinks about labor and birth. He thought that it would take 15 minutes and his role is simply to bring me to the hospital as fast as possible.

"Couples you will meet in class will become a great source of information because you all have the same questions and the same final goal - a happy and healthy child. There is so much information around, so many decisions to be made...Cloth diapers, vaccines, where to give birth, co-sleeping, baby carriers. We did not know anything but we learned and are still learning together. 

"Maria is a great, flexible, and devoted childbirth educator. I know how much she is into childbirth as a normal process; the books and videos she has in her lending library to support the ideas she is teaching; the people from the local childbirth community who visited or spoke.
